What you'll be doing We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join our growing Finance department on a 12 month fixed term contract. As a Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you will be central to supporting the Trade function, helping drive trade effectiveness. This role is a key part of our Commercial Finance function, enabling the business to make well-informed, data-driven decisions to enhance trade performance. Key Responsibilities Trade Performance Analysis: Understand and articulately communicate key trends driving performance within the area of focus, partnering with the Trade team to provide actionable insights. Covering UK and International markets. Weekly Trade Meeting: Support the production of the weekly trade report, whilst supporting the business to automate and process improve the results, enabling more time for review and insight. Price and Promotion: Utilising external benchmarking pricing, monitor and review discounts and pricing rules to maximise and Revenue and margin opportunities with Hotels and Flights. Ancillary Services: Review and monitor Ancillary Services Revenue and margin performance, to identify trends and insight to support the business in improving performance and minimising risk. Sales and Margin Tracking: Conduct thorough analysis of trade initiatives, tracking financial performance and identifying areas for improvement or optimisation. Deep Dive Investigations: Conduct deep dive analysis on any unusual performance and communicate findings within the team. Financial Management Information (MI) Support: Support in the delivery of quality financial MI on business performance, including high-quality monthly reporting and insights. Budgeting and Forecasting for Trade: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business strategies and trade initiatives. Business Partnering with Trade Leadership Stakeholders: Serve as a key business partner to senior trade stakeholders, delivering commercial finance expertise and strategic advice on trade performance and initiatives. Ad Hoc Financial Support: Provide additional financial analysis and support as required, including deep dives into trade performance, identifying trends, and presenting solutions. You’ll be a great addition to our team if you have the following skills, knowledge and experience: Qualified Accountant (CIMA or equivalent) Experience in Commercial Finance : Proven track record of working in a commercial finance role, ideally with a focus on Trading or business performance analysis. Strong Excel Skills : Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modelling, analysis, and reporting. Collaborative Team Player : Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, cross-functional team, contributing to shared goals. Analytical Thinker : Strong problem-solving skills with a keen ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Proactive and Results-Driven : A self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects and independently drive outcomes. Relationship Building Skills : Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including marketing teams and senior leadership. Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting. Excellent Communication Skills : Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders What to expect from our interview process We will have a 2 stage interview process, one on Microsoft teams and a 2nd in person in our offices in Manchester city centre including a 45 mins excel based task. Ways of working Our full time hours are 37.5 per week, but we don't have rigid working hours so you can find the working pattern that's right for you. We have core working hours between 10am - 4pm, so we can collaborate and enjoy the social side of work. We also have hybrid working so we all work from home and from our Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre. As a Finance team we tend to be in the office up to 2 times per week.
