Company Overview
A well-established company in the construction industry is seeking Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. The company specializes in concrete repair, external fabric repair, waterproofing, and other repair services. The role will be based in the London office.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, this position plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient finance operations. Responsibilities include:
* Full management of Xero (bookkeeping system) and HubDoc (supplier invoice storage system).
* Processing daily bank reconciliations.
* Handling sales and purchase invoices.
* Proactive credit control management.
* Recording weekly operative data to support outsourced payroll.
* Posting month-end journals, including payroll, subcontractor costs, sales, accruals, and prepayments.
* Supporting the timely production of monthly management reports.
* Ad hoc analysis and project work as required.
* Providing general support to the wider finance team.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a reliable, diligent, and experienced finance professional with strong attention to detail. A proactive attitude and the confidence to engage with senior management are essential. Qualified by experience is preferred over candidates currently pursuing professional qualifications.
Package & Benefits
* Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
* Annual Leave: 20 days + Bank Holidays
