CMA are partnering with an Isle of Wight based school to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join the team on a temporary basis of initially 2 months. The Financial Controller will lead on all areas of finance across the business including leading on production of management accounts, payroll, budgeting and cashflow management. This would ideally suit somebody based locally who can be in the office five days per week and has previously worked in an education organisation before.
What will the Financial Controller role involve?
Production of management accounts including commentary to be presented to the head teacher monthly.
Lead all budgeting process liaising with department heads and educating through the process.
Own all cash processes within the school producing regular cashflow reports.
Manage Payroll and pension payments for the school.
Other ad hoc finance duties.
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy:
Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
Previous experience within an education setting is desired.
Previous experience with Sage 50 is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills.
