Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) Public Health Team are seeking to recruit a full-time Consultant in Public Health to join their public health team in North Wales, this is a replacement post due to promotion. The post will hold a portfolio of work overseen by the current post holder across a range of public health regional priorities for North Wales, as well as taking a place-based leadership role. The post will have place-based responsibility for Wrexham and Flintshire. Place-based work will consist of working in partnership with stakeholders across the system to achieve improvements in population health, as well as taking a public health leadership role across a range of partnership groups and Public Service Boards.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will cover all areas of Public Health professional practice, including:
·Health Improvement,
·Health Care Quality and Improvement,
·Health Protection,
·Health Intelligence,
·Research and Development.
Further areas of work will be negotiated according to the needs of the department and the skills and knowledge of the successful candidate on appointment. A detailed work plan will be drawn up with the Executive Director of Public Health, upon appointment, drawing on the key tasks outlined in the Job Description.
