Job summary Position is due to start July 2025 Neonatal Services are provided at both Lincoln county & Pilgrim hospitals. The Neonatal Unit at Lincoln has a cot capacity of 15, providing intensive, high dependency & special care to babies from both Lincolnshire & surrounding counties. Transitional Care is also provided on the post-natal ward & staff within the service work on both NNU & Transitional Care. There is also a Neonatal Outreach Service. We have also just received Bronze ward accreditation. Pilgrim Hospital is a modern Special Care Baby unit, with a 12 cot capacity, including 8 Special Care & 4 Transitional Care cots. Transitional Care is located on the unit. Short term intensive care & stabilisation prior to transfer is provided. Both work cohesively, in adherence with the care pathways. The Neonatal service is continuing to develop, is part of the East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network & is currently working towards Bliss & BFI Accreditation & in close liaison with the Maternity Transformation Programme as part of the Better Births implementation. Main duties of the job Staff will be required to work on an internal rotation basis, including weekends & Bank Holidays & be flexible to meet the needs of the service. We are able to offer training & education through a variety of formats & there is expectation that you would undertake the Qualified in Speciality course to become a Neonatal Nurse.
