The Empress is a lively, independent gastropub in the pretty enclave of Hackney - Victoria Park.
Full of diners most nights and packed at weekends, the pub treads a fine line between pub and restaurant. The takings are split 50%/50% between food and drink.
We are looking to recruit a couple where one of you must be a sous level chef and the other a min of supervisor level FOH.
There is a very spacious one bed flat above the pub that comes with the job.
It is important to us that all our staff have a good live/work balance. Two days off and a max of 42 hours per week.
All food is made fresh in our kitchen to a Michelin Bib level.
We use the only the best suppliers - Swaledale, E5 Bakehouse, Fin & Flounder, Natora
The FOH position would suit someone with a min of 3 years experience and with a passion for hospitality.
We are not a pub group - we have just one other site but do hope to open a 3rd in the near future.
