Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food quality and presentation meets Better Food Safer Business Standards
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to meet Better Food Safer Business Standards
- Assist with inventory management and preparing the order list of small weekly supplies
- Collaborate with Management to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
Qualifications:
- Qualified or be willing to take online courses for Food Hygiene and Food Safety Level 2
- Food Allergy Awareness, Safeguarding and several mandatory courses over a scheduled timescale
- Previous experience working in a nursery kitchen environment or similar environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with Better Food Safer Business regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a nursery environment
- Strong communication and friendly manner
