Job Type: Full-time Location: UK-wide travel required Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 We are pleased to be working with a well established client seeking a Field Sales Account Manager to maintain and grow our relationships with trade customers, ensuring smooth logistics, and representing our brand within the bakery industry. This hands-on role requires deep industry knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to supporting customers’ success with our products. Extensive travel across the UK is essential for maintaining in-person connections. Day-to-day of the role: Existing Trade Customer Management: Respond promptly to customer inquiries, arrange and attend in-person meetings, and proactively support customers by understanding their bakery goals and challenges. New Customer Acquisition: Drive growth by securing new trade customers through inbound referrals and active prospecting, represent the brand at events, and utilize social media to enhance storytelling. Bakery Support and Product Guidance: Serve as a source of product technical knowledge, providing advice and insights on our flour to enable customers in developing new products. Transport and Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with the transport team to ensure timely delivery of orders, address logistics issues, and monitor deliveries, especially for accounts requiring special attention. Marketing Collaboration: Act as the brand’s “eyes and ears” in the field, share insights with the marketing team to identify opportunities for content, partnerships, or campaigns. Event Participation: Attend and support customer events and key industry trade events, strengthening industry connections. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and respond effectively. Strong communication skills with confidence and adaptability in various styles to engage with a wide range of customers and industry partners. Exceptional customer service skills, including empathy and active listening. Ability to drive and willingness to travel long distances, sometimes during unsociable hours or weekends.
