About The Role
Join our dedicated fruit packaging facility in Thrapston, as our new Senior Compliance Technician and play a pivotal role in ensuring safety, legality, and quality of the produce we source from our growers and suppliers. At Morrisons/Myton, we're committed to meeting the highest compliance standards, and this role is key to safeguarding our reputation for fresh, high quality fruit.
As a key member of our technical team, you'll oversee supplier compliance across our fruit supply chain, ensuring adherence to food safety, ethical and legal standards. Through close collaboration with suppliers, you'll drive improvements in compliance and quality, guaranteeing that the produce delivered to our site meets all regulatory and Morrisons requirements before it's packaged and distributed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supplier Compliance Management: Ensure suppliers and growers meet rigorous compliance requirements. Conduct supplier audits and proactively address non-conformance through corrective action plans.
* Due Diligence Oversight: Collate, review, and maintain supplier due diligence documentation, ensuring all data is up-to-date and meets our policies and industry regulation.
* Audit and Monitoring: Conduct detailed audits of supplier facilities and processes, providing actionable feedback to improve compliance and mitigate risks.
* Product Quality and Safety: Act as a compliance expert for fruit products, ensuring specifications are met and that all processes align with regulations.
* Seasonal Management: Support suppliers and buyers during challenging periods, ensuring standards remain robust even during seasonal variations.
About You

* Build and maintain a network of contacts both internal and external with the ability to influence.
* Demonstrate leadership skills, promoting a strong sense of teamwork and training hourly colleagues.
* Work effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment.
* Share ideas and findings in a clear direct way both internally and externally.
* Use data to drive intelligent decision making and influence future seasons.
In return for your hard work we will offer you:
