Located in Three Legged Cross, our award-winning 71-bed care home specialises in Residential, Dementia, and Respite care. We provide a welcoming and supportive environment where every team member plays a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of our residents.
We are looking for a dedicated Dining Room Host to ensure the smooth operation of our dining areas and provide excellent service to our residents and visitors.
Shift Details
✔ 07:00 AM – 15:00 PM
✔ Full-time (40 hours per week) including weekends
✔ Additional £0.25 per hour on weekends
What You’ll Do
✔ Prepare & Serve Breakfast – Oversee the setup and service of non-cooked breakfasts for residents
✔ Dining Setup – Ensure the dining areas are clean, well-organised, and inviting for residents and visitors
✔ Food Storage & Safety – Maintain fridges, store food correctly, and follow hygiene regulations
✔ Menu Management – Update daily menus and ensure meals are appealing and well-presented
✔ Resident Support – Serve meals, assist residents if needed, and create a warm, friendly dining atmosphere
✔ Refreshments Service – Provide tea, coffee, and snacks outside of regular mealtimes
✔ Compliance & Hygiene – Follow HACCP, COSHH, and infection control policies to maintain a safe dining environment
✔ Communication – Liaise with the Head Chef regarding supplies and resident dietary needs

What We’re Looking For
✔ Experience in Customer Service or Hospitality (previous café, restaurant, or care home experience preferred)
✔ Strong Organisational & Communication Skills – Ability to manage the dining area efficiently and interact warmly with residents
✔ Attention to Detail – Ensuring cleanliness, food safety, and excellent service standards
✔ Team Player – Ability to work collaboratively with care and kitchen staff
