An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the established team of Practice Education Facilitators (PEF) at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality multi-professional learning environments within LWH. The post holder will be required to support the breadth of the nursing and AHP student experience, which may require cross boundary working, and contribute to the delivery of the new Quality Assurance Framework for Clinical Education for Nurses and Midwives within the organisation.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need a broad range of post qualifying clinical demonstrable experience for a minimum of 3 years as an NMC registrant, including experience of teaching and supervising healthcare students in the practice setting.
The existing PEF team consists of registered midwives so a registered nurse or AHP would add a wide range of expertise, and would be the lead for overseeing the practice education of student nurses and ODP's when on placement at LWH. Staff training delivery and support will form a significant element of the role.
Job responsibilities
* Assessing the quality of a range of practice learning environments, determining interventions to sustain and enhance practice education.
* Supporting and facilitating the development of Practice assessors and Practice Supervisors, to include delivery of mandatory staff updates.

* Developing, co-coordinating, evaluating and implementing education programmes with Higher Education partners via attendance on programme boards for nursing and AHP programmes.
* Involvement in reviewing capacity across nursing and CSS divisions, to see if improvements can be made in utilisation and a subsequent overall increase in student numbers.
* Identify opportunities where multi-professional practice supervision can be facilitated in practice as a foundation for inter-professional learning to take place.
* Explore the opportunity to implement coaching models within nursing to further improve capacity utilisation and better learner experiences.
* Attend nursing and AHP careers fairs on behalf of LWH to promote the trust as future employer.
* Engage with the Cheshire and Mersey PEF network to assist with facilitating regional change to improve the learner experience.
