THE ROLE
We are looking to appoint a First Aid Lead & Administration Officer to lead the delivery of first aid across our School, working as an integral part of the administration and operations teams. They will be responsible for managing the first aid for students, staff and visitors as well as providing administrative support to the administration and operations teams.
We are excited to offer this role with the option for a job share arrangement. The role is term time plus 5 days, working 40 hours per week, 8am - 4:30pm which can be shared, giving the flexibility to balance professional and personal life. CORE RESPONSIBILITIESFirst AidTo provide first aid treatment to injured or ill individuals and, in emergencies until further medical assistance arrives
To ensure staff first aid training is up-to-date and that the number of first aid trained staff is compliant with guidance for schools.
To maintain accurate records of any first aid incidents, treatments provided, and follow-up actions. Report serious incidents to the appropriate authorities as requiredOversee the maintenance, replenishment, and accessibility of first aid kits throughout the school. Ensure all first aid supplies are stocked and meet required standards.Accurately document any first aid incidents or treatments administered. Ensure proper follow-up and communicate incidents to parents or guardians and relevant authorities as necessaryCoordinate the annual immunisation schedule within school and with the local external NHS immunisation teamMaintain confidential health records for students with known medical conditions and assist in managing the distribution of prescribed medications according to school policies.Administration
Work as part of the overall administrative team of the School to ensure the School runs smoothly and effectively at all timesTo support the School finance, operations and HR team in administrative duties including the preparation of necessary documents, letters and filing.Cover School reception at certain points in the School day if required at times of absence and sickness
Participate in and attend meetings and training as appropriate, including CPD days
To embody the School’s values and represent the school in a positive manner at all timeTo take on any other duties as reasonably required by the Senior Leadership Team.
