The Project
As a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will have a key role as part of the commercial team overseeing a £2m commercial refurbishment project in Liverpool. You be managing the financial aspects of the project, collaborating closely with stakeholders, proactively mitigating financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving the project to completion on time and within budget.
Requirements
It is essential that you hold the experience below;
Proven history of successfully delivering commercial packages on new build / refurbishment projects with build values in excess of £2m
Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a similar position for a leading contractor or subcontractorAdditional skills;

Analytical and Mathematical skills
Excellent sales and presentation skills
Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
Strong communication and attention to details
Understanding of construction laws and regulations

Procurement
Evaluation of tender provisions
Supply contractors with interim and final payment documentation
Monitor project expenditures, ensuring costs remain within budget
Establish and oversee project budgets to ensure effective cost control
Deliver cost insights and financial guidance to clients and project teams
Recognise and oversee financial risks, formulating strategies for their mitigation
Uphold high standards of financial management and ensure accuracy in reporting
Assess and analyse bids from contractors and suppliers to ensure they are cost-effective
Manage disputes and claims regarding expenses, striving for swift and effective resolution
Provide clients with frequent project updates and address any additional concerns they may raise
Create comprehensive cost plans and budgets derived from architectural and engineering designs
Implement and oversee strict compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
Assess and manage modifications and change requests, ensuring the financial implications are properly considered
Address all financial matters and ensure a seamless project closure, while maintaining detailed records for thorough finalization
Negotiate contract terms and conditions with contractors and suppliers, ensuring they align with project requirements and budget limitations
Ensure full compliance with all contract terms, conditions, and specifications throughout the project, while aligning with project goals and meeting client expectations
