Application Specialist – ERP BA / projects / hands on
Are you looking to work in a complex environment, understanding business problems but also getting hands on with implementing system solutions?
We are looking for an Application Specialist with experience with ERP systems to deliver and support solutions within and around the core ERP and wider business systems.
Working with managers and end users, you will be required to understand and specify business requirements large and small.
With your expertise in understanding systems and solving problems, you will manage the smooth delivery of new requirements in conjunction with the system provider, through the leadership and assistance of other team members and ‘hands-on’ to directly configure and build the solution.
Salary: £45, - £65,
Location: Hull - Hybrid
The Role
5. To understand and determine system needs via consultation, process analysis and observation
6. Acting as project principal to develop and configure customised solutions
7. Inspire, lead and guide other Application Specialists
8. Using technical expertise to create documentation, reports and workflows
9. Integrating solutions with wider business systems
10. Help maintain and improve existing solutions and systems
11. Understanding the wider possibilities of technology and bring new ideas to reality
Key Skills
12. Experience and knowledge of order processing ERP systems at high volume
13. Relational data, reporting, data manipulation and BI experience
14. Strong analytical, problem solving and process analysis skills
15. Excellent oral and written communicator, able to talk to technical and non-technical colleagues
16. Self-driven, confident to lead and to listen to others
17. Manage and track multiple projects across teams and third parties
Desirable
18. Experience of the Kerridge ERP system - but not essential
19. Knowledge of Builders’ Merchant operations and systems (or similar volume trades)
This is not a ‘pigeon holed’ role - it encompasses all areas of system delivery and support from creating an initial business specification, ‘hands-on’ building of that solution, then final delivery. A high degree of interpersonal, analytic, technical and project skills are needed.
