What will be your responsibilities:
Training Program Development & Management
* Develop and implement UAS training programs for operators and technicians, ensuring compliance with CAA, MAA, and EASA regulations.
* Maintain and update training plans, including Initial, Recurrent, and Advanced Operations.
* Create tailored training modules for different UAS types and mission profiles.
* Continuously improve curriculum with technological and regulatory updates.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
* Ensure all training aligns with CAA, MAA, and EASA standards.
* Conduct regular assessments and audits for compliance.
* Integrate safety management and risk mitigation into training programs.
Team Leadership & Development
* Lead and mentor instructors, ensuring high-quality training delivery.
* Oversee staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
* Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
* Align training programs with operational needs and regulatory requirements.
* Act as a liaison for external certifications and approvals.
* Work with HR to recruit and onboard qualified trainers.
Facilities & Infrastructure Management
* Manage training facilities, simulators, and flight equipment.
* Ensure infrastructure meets safety and operational standards.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
* Track training outcomes, maintain records, and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Report program performance and improvements to senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement
* Stay updated on emerging UAS training technologies.
* Integrate innovations like Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).
* Promote continuous learning through trainee and instructor feedback.
Profile and requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
o Degree in Aviation, Engineering, or related field.
o Extensive experience in UAS operations (military & civilian).
o Expertise in training development and regulatory compliance.
o Proven leadership in managing training teams.
o Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
o Knowledge of safety management systems (SMS) and flight simulation tools.
Desirable Skills:
o Experience in military or defense training.
o Familiarity with flight planning and operational tools.
o Budgeting and resource management expertise.
o Knowledge of UAS applications in defense and surveillance.
o Additional UAS certifications.
