Maintenance Engineer - Herefordshire
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000
Schedule: 4 on 4 off days and nights
Benefits: Private medical scheme, plenty of overtime
Our client is a leading manufacturer dedicated to producing products whose quality is recognized as second to none. With a strong order book and over £9 million of investment going into the factory and growth into various export markets, they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
2. Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on a range of equipment
3. Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery
4. Generate and maintain compliance to SOP's, risk assessments
5. Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues
6. Working on a range of boilers, steam boilers, ammonia equipment, valves & pumps
7. Supporting production & continuous improvement projects
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
2. Continuous improvement knowledge
3. Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
4. Experience in heavy engineering, power generation, water treatment - Advantageous
5. BOAS trained
6. Ammonia awareness
7. Welding knowledge
