We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join a busy HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Based near Nantwich, you will play a key role in supporting payroll operations across multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Assist in processing the weekly payrolls. Support monthly payroll processing and reporting. Respond to payroll queries from managers and employees via email and phone. Collect, calculate, and input payroll data accurately. Check the accuracy of payments and statutory deductions. Process PAYE/NIC, statutory payments, tax code changes, and court orders. Record and calculate absence leave and payments. Monitor and coordinate workplace pension submissions. Administer company benefits and process related documentation. Work closely with Accounts to provide payroll reports. Upload payslips and P45s to the system. Process BACS payments to HMRC for PAYE. Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required. About You Previous payroll experience is essential. Strong numeracy skills and a keen eye for detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
