We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join a busy HR team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Based near Nantwich, you will play a key role in supporting payroll operations across multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in processing the weekly payrolls.
* Support monthly payroll processing and reporting.
* Respond to payroll queries from managers and employees via email and phone.
* Collect, calculate, and input payroll data accurately.
* Check the accuracy of payments and statutory deductions.
* Process PAYE/NIC, statutory payments, tax code changes, and court orders.
* Record and calculate absence leave and payments.
* Monitor and coordinate workplace pension submissions.
* Administer company benefits and process related documentation.
* Work closely with Accounts to provide payroll reports.
* Upload payslips and P45s to the system.
* Process BACS payments to HMRC for PAYE.
* Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.
