Registered Manager – Children’s Home
Location: Canvey Island, Essex
Salary: £48,000 - £65,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme

Setting: 4-bed EBD home.
We are working with a growing provider of high-quality residential care to recruit a Registered Manager for one of their children’s homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to lead a dedicated team, ensuring that children and young people receive the highest standard of care in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring a child-centred approach to care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Operational Management – Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it provides a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children.
* Regulatory Compliance – Maintain compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements, aiming for a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ rating.
* Child-Centred Care – Develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring positive outcomes for young people.
* Team Leadership & Development – Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a supportive and professional culture.
* Safeguarding & Wellbeing – Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are strictly followed.
* Multi-Agency Collaboration – Work closely with external professionals, families, and agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care.
* Strategic & Financial Management – Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning to ensure sustainable and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* At least 2 years of experience managing a residential children’s home.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
* Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding policies.
* A proven track record of delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for children.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Full right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship).
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* Availability for a May start date.
