We are looking to recruit a Payroll Team Leader, who has a passion and drive for providing excellent customer service, who has an exceptional telephone manner and excellent administrative and IT skills and is driven to motivate and guide team members to provide outstanding delivery to our employees and stakeholders.
Demonstrating outstanding attention to detail and have prominent knowledge in current UK payroll legislation. The ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines whilst being flexible and able to diversify to the changing business needs is essential. Knowledge of NHS terms and conditions and experience of Oracle or ESR is highly desirable.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to Payroll & Assistant Payroll Manager to ensure the successful running of the team payroll, providing high quality customer service, ensuring the payrolls are processed correctly and on time.
Managing and supervising existing payroll and pension team members.
Work with other Team Leaders, Payroll Officers & Pension Officers to ensure that staff are paid accurately and in line with both HMRC legislation and NHS Policy.
Training, coaching, and advising payroll team members about payroll and pension issues.
Able to manual calculate complex calculations which include cross tax-year Tax, NI and Pension deductions and refunds.
Process payroll runs, supplementary runs and reversals when necessary.

5. Strong knowledge of pay procedures and UK statutory legislation.
6. Experience of working in a large fast paced Payroll/Pensions environment, preferably in a shared service environment.
