Are you a Registered Nurse with interest in neonatal care as a career?
We are excited to offer vacancies for Band 5 Nurses to join our highly regarded team at Basildon Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit.
The NICU at Basildon is a level 2 unit with a capacity of 19 cots, 3 of which are intensive care, 5 high dependency, and 11 special care. We also have a transitional care with a capacity of 4 beds.
The unit is superbly equipped and resourced to care for sick and premature babies born at the hospital and in the local area, and also provides excellent facilities for parents and carers.
The role will give you the privileged position to make a difference in the lives of precious newborn babies and their families.
You will have supervised time within the unit to gain the experience you need to care for the babies and will work through competencies in Special Care and High Dependency that will give you the background to undertake the Neonatal Course, enabling you to care for babies requiring the highest level of support in Intensive Care.
Basildon Hospital is part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and part of the East of England Operational Delivery Network. The three NICUs in the MSE are forging strong working relationships, sharing knowledge and experience, and providing excellent care.
