About Avayler:
At Avayler, when we talk about growth, we don’t just mean your career trajectory. Growth to us means creating opportunities for employees to be challenged, take ownership over initiatives, and feeling safe to try new things. We are passionate about creating a culture where your progression is a unique experience, with you in the driver's seat and being part of a winning team.
As the leading global Garage Management and Mobile Van software platform, we help customers become operationally efficient and compliant through our advanced technology. Born in 2020 and a division of Halfords, the UK No 1 provider of motoring and cycling products, we stand as a stand-alone entity, striving to reach global recognition, specifically targeting both the USA and European markets. We are scaling our business at an impressive pace and are in search of a VP of Product to bolster our growing team. Your next adventure starts here...
What can I expect to do:
* Craft and implement product strategies that resonate with our business objectives, driving innovation and setting us apart from the competition.
* Offer strategic direction and vision for the product management team, establishing clear goals and priorities to align with overarching business objectives.
* Lead and mentor a diverse team, providing the necessary guidance, coaching, and support to fuel performance and professional growth.
* Champion the product vision, goals, and priorities, ensuring they’re understood across all levels of the organization.
* Build a high-performance, customer-first commercial culture, to fully optimize growth & profit. Continue to look for ways to improve and innovate whilst managing costs.
* Develop the talent pipeline at all levels to ensure future resourcing needs are nurtured and developed to support a scaling business.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet both customer needs and business goals.
* Define product requirements, features, and priorities, and effectively communicate them to development teams.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product performance, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making.
* Lead product roadmap planning and prioritization, balancing short-term and long-term goals, and managing trade-offs effectively.
* Serve as a product evangelist, both internally and externally, to drive awareness, adoption, and success of our products in the market.
What would make me successful in this role:
* You have proven experience in product management leadership roles within high performing B2B organizations specifically within the automotive industry.
* You have managed mid-size teams focusing on product ownership, UI/UX designers and are able to manage internal and external stakeholders through product lifecycles.
* You will have an in-depth knowledge of user experience design to advocate for customer needs and requirements.
* You will have strong organizational and project management skills to oversee the product development lifecycles.
* You work well under pressure in a high growth environment that is constantly changing.
* You are analytically inclined, with exceptional organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail.
What are the challenges:
* As with any role within a fast-growing SaaS business you must be able to flex to changing business priorities, so if you are adaptable and embrace change then you will thrive in this environment.
* Our structure is relatively flat and non-hierarchical, and egos don't fly here so no job is too big or too small, we all get stuck in to make the business successful, so you’d better get ready to roll up your sleeves!
* Expansion is a major theme. We face new situations and market opportunities which we've not encountered previously. There aren’t always someone's footsteps to follow so you will need to be able to work as a pioneer, carving the path and sharing your learnings with your colleagues.
What's in it for me:
* A collaborative, winning team with everyone aligned to achieving the same goals.
* Mentoring and endless opportunity for growth.
Personal Qualities:
* Self-motivated and driven. You are enthusiastic and inspire others.
* Confident, articulate, and dynamic with the ability to make things happen whilst keeping stakeholders and clients positively engaged.
