We are looking for an Quantity Surveyor who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Quantity Surveyor to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. As the Quantity Surveyor, you will ill generate studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs pre and post contract as required. The role will also require you to prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and schedule of rates. The Quantity Surveyor, will be responsible for: Integrate with the estimating team to achieve robust prime costs and seamless transition through to contract stage providing attendance at client meetings and site visits, as necessary. Preparing, negotiating, analysing, and reporting on supply chain costs for tenders and contracts. Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risk. Ensure that agreed contract terms are in place for each engagement and manage contract works in accordance with those contract terms. Ensure that additional work opportunities are financially closed out in the month of work completion. Manage quantity surveying teams (where applicable) ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated to contracts for the contract. Manage supply chain and sub-contractor engagement contracts from enquiry stage through to practical completion and retention release. Identify change requirements and expedite opportunities to maximise revenue and to de-risk contract delivery. Report on contract commercial and financial performance in accordance with company KPI protocols. Manage financial application, job costing, and forecasting update processes for contract sales To be successful for this Quantity Surveyor role you must have: A proven background as a Quantity Surveyor working in the Electrical and Mechanical sector. Ideally experienced working within a Data Centre environment. You will be able to work on multiple projects at once worth a range of values. Ideally hold a Quantity Surveying and/or Construction / Engineering Qualification (HND or Degree Level) MRICS CSCS card holder relevant to role Can demonstrate excellent analytical skills and has experience of Document Management Systems, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Asta Powerproject, Excel, Anaplan or similar/equivalent packages Maintain knowledge of the construction and engineering industry's statutory requirements, methods, differing building contract types and processes Excellent communication and negotiating skill If you feel you have the necessary skills set and experience to perform this Quantity Surveyor role, and you are interested in an opportunity offering unparalleled career development, please apply now
