What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a highly committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with the drive and enthusiasm to support our pupils and class teachers. Directed by the Head of School, the role will involve helping our pupils to build confidence and overcome barriers to learning. Candidates must be able to work on their own initiative as well as work under the supervision of the class teacher.
The successful candidate will:
• Provide direct practical support for learners to engage in all aspects of their programme
• Support teachers with the monitoring and delivery of interventions
• Work in a way that creates a positive, fun and engaging environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with children, parents, other professionals and colleagues
• Be reliable and conscientious
• Be open to new ideas
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and welfare procedures
• Have an understanding and commitment to positive behaviour management.

Hours: 30 hours per week
Appointment type: fixed term contract; term time only; 38 weeks per year
Pay: NJC Grade C5-7 (£12.18-12.59 per hour; FTE £23,500 - £24,294)
