We are currently looking to recruit several Care & Support Workers to support clients across south Ceredigion (Llandysul/Cardigan). Whilst previous care experience would be an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be provided. What’s important to us is that you are the type of person who will ensure the comfort, dignity and self-respect of our clients.
About the Care & Support Worker role:
Successful candidates will work 35 hours per week, on a split shift pattern between 7am and 10pm, on a 4 on, 4 off, rolling rota pattern. Enhanced pay will be provided for any work undertaken on weekends after 9pm or on bank holidays. Applications to work 21 hours per week will also be considered for anybody preferring reduced hours.
As a Care & Support Worker, your key tasks will be to provide support and encouragement to clients in regaining skills or using equipment to aid:
- bathing/Personal care
- dressing and undressing
- mobility and transfers
- kitchen skills
- exercise programmes for rehabilitation and development under the instruction of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist if required
- medication
