What you'll do
As the Sustainability Planning, Programme, and Activation Manager at Sainsbury's, you will be at the forefront of driving and managing the Corporate Sustainability Plan (Plan for Better), overseeing governance, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the delivery of sustainable and ethical practices across the business and supply chains. Your role will involve programme managing the Sustainability Plan effectively, identifying risks, milestones, and key decisions, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive progress and action. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting strategy development, reporting, data management, and communication efforts to enhance the reputation and impact of the brand's corporate responsibility and sustainability initiatives.
Who you are
As the Sustainability Planning, Programme and Activation Manager at Sainsbury's, you are a seasoned professional with a strong background in strategy development and programme management, committed to driving positive change and enhancing the reputation of the brand. You are assertive, with a strong drive to deliver results and outcomes. You have extensive experience in programme and project management and strategic planning, and you possess the ability to navigate complex business environments, anticipate risks, and lead initiatives despite ambiguity to deliver sustainable outcomes and align with the organisation's values and goals. Your expertise in communication, leadership, and collaboration enables you to drive continuous improvement, foster innovation, and inspire others to contribute at pace towards a more ethical and sustainable future for all stakeholders involved.
