This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Practice Audit and Clinical Effectiveness (PACE) Team PACE is part of the practice governance function of the Trust, providing support to all staff throughout the organisation in order to create an effective and learning organisation that can deliver the best possible outcomes for all service users, staff and the public Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) is committed to using clinical audit as a tool in strategic management as part of the broader quality improvement programme. HPFT sees clinical audit as a cornerstone of its arrangements for developing and maintaining high quality patient-centred care. Please note: Some of this role can be carried out remotely and we support staff to work from home where this is possible. This is however on a hybrid basis and you will be expected to work on site as required by the service., You will be expected to carry out a portfolio of audits each year to ensure HPFT's annual clinical audit programme is completed. This entails liaising with a clinical project lead at the start to agree the aims of the audit and its method, completing the audit, conferring again with the project lead to agree recommendations and actions, and monitoring implementation of actions.
* Support and advise operational staff in all stages of audit work from selecting a topic, conducting literature searches and interrogation of data sources, right through to developing presentations, reporting of audit findings and action planning. The team also offer case note retrieval and data collection tools. Divisional Practice Governance Leads

* Review and update the Division on a Bi-monthly basis on progress made against audits and action plans, The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Data collection which is mainly desk based but can also occasionally be unit/ward based.
You will possess good communication and interpersonal skills and provide audit contribution to the PACE Team and be expected to contribute to undertaking a programme of clinical audits with the support of your colleagues. This involves a plan do study act approach. You will possess good I.T., communication and interpersonal skills and provide audit contribution to the PACE Team and be expected to contribute to the clinical effectiveness agenda. Part of your role will be supporting safe practice and service development and underpinning clinical quality. You will need to be a self-starter who is motivated and eager for the challenge of working within the team.
