World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Manufacturing Technician subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract.

Rate: £29.57 per hour
Overtime Rate: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at 'time and a quarter'
Location: Stevenage
Hybrid / Remote working: Onsite
Contract: 37 Hours per week
Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)
IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)
Electrical Manufacturing Technician Job Description:
As a qualified craftsman with several years of relevant experience in electrical manufacturing, the Manufacturing Technician will report to a Team Leader, receiving day-to-day direction regarding tasks (which will include Assembly, Inspection, and Test) and their associated priorities.
The Manufacturing Technician will typically be capable of certifying the product and possess a versatile skill base, applying their skills across a range of tasks utilizing equipment, tools, gauges, and measuring instruments associated with the production, repair, and modification of company products to meet defined build standards and specification requirements.
1. Possess experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
2. Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure.
3. Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
4. Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
5. Ensure manufacturing build, inspection, and where relevant, test times are met.
6. Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
7. Maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality.
8. Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
9. Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping policy.
10. Communicate best practices to other team members.
The successful candidate should be a team player who demonstrates customer focus, with proven planning and organizing skills, and flexibility and adaptability. Required qualifications include a formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21/HNC, experience as a skilled person, ESD training, and no blindness. Colophony health surveillance is also required.
