Permanent Contract | £36,124 to £37,938 per annum (Scale I) | 37 hours per week | Norwich
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Highway Compliance Engineer role within the Highway Network and Digital Innovation Team based at County Hall in Norwich (hybrid remote working). You will work within a team dedicated to improving the safety, comfort, and environment of our highway network for Norfolk residents.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with the delivery of day-to-day operations of our bus lane enforcement cameras, introducing new Moving Traffic Enforcement sites, and delivering Blue Badge misuse enforcement activities. You will ensure that robust processes are in place to deliver a consistent and effective enforcement service. Additionally, you will be required to investigate operational issues, carry out routine proactive inspections of traffic enforcement sites, and ensure the rectification of identified defects in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will need relevant experience in a technical role. Ideally, you will have a good understanding of the Highways Act, Traffic Management Act, and Traffic Signs and General Directions Regulations, although suitable training will be provided.
