Job Description
The Job Mission
As a Piping Construction Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering piping construction activities for the MEH phase of Hinkley Point C. You will ensure compliance, consistency, and progress across project scopes, driving success through leadership and technical expertise.
1. Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, implementing best practices for piping construction.
2. Define scope boundaries and manage the creation of Construction Workpacks (CWPs).
3. Oversee the delivery of CWPs, ensuring first-time acceptance and compliance with project requirements.
4. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
5. Support continuous improvement programmes and process optimisation initiatives.
6. Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, HSE, and site licence requirements.
7. Coordinate safe access routing and surveying activities to support construction works.
8. Provide leadership in resource planning and progress reporting to the Building Manager.
My profile
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
2. Professional accreditation in project management, construction, or engineering.
3. CCNSG Safety Passport and IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.
4. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a construction environment, coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
5. Experience in delivering engineering scopes for major construction projects.
6. Proven track record in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors.
7. Familiarity with Joint Ventures and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
8. Strong leadership and organisational skills.
