Job Description
1. Site visits to carry out plant inspections.
2. Coordinating / supervising inspection activities. on outages (depending on qualifications and experience).
3. Producing high quality inspection reports.
4. Reviewing and authorising inspection reports (depending on qualifications and experience).
5. Estimating and managing project costs.
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of standards, legislation, good practice, methods and use of appropriate equipment and software.
What we expect of you?
Experience :
7. Good practical experience in the inspection of a range of plant components, in particular steam and water pressure parts (both in the new / as-installed condition and after in-service degradation has taken place).
8. An appreciation of the damage / degradation mechanisms that can take place on the components being inspected.
It would also be an advantage to have:
9. Experience in the ultrasonic testing of branch connections.
10. Experience of working on plant outages, including a proven track record in a coordinating / supervisory role for outage inspection activities, including liaison with the client and other key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
11. As a minimum you must hold PCN Level 2D certification in magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing and ultrasonic testing of welds.
12. The following would be a particular advantage:
13. Certification to PCN Level 2 in phased array ultrasonic testing and / or TOFD.
14. Certification to PCN Level 3 in any testing method.
15. Project management experience.
16. NEBOSH General Certificate.
