About the role
The AP Specialist is responsible for preparing and recording accounting entries in the Finance module of Sage, preparing monthly reconciliations and participating to the Month-end closing activities. The AP Specialist is also responsible for certain AP activities as supporting the calculations of commissions, cash forecast or entering invoices in the AP module.
What you’ll do in the role
Accounting:
1. Plays an active role in the monthly closing process as defined in the closing calendar.
2. Helps and support the team in case of bottlenecks
3. Prepares monthly balance sheet reconciliation to trial balance with supporting schedules
4. Weekly cash flow statement preparation and interpretation
5. Managing relationships with third parties (auditors, foreign payroll providers, foreign TAX and VAT consultancy firms)
6. Ensures intercompany accounts are in balance and coordinate reconciliations with other Finance groups.
Accounts Payable:
7. Process certain category of AP invoices in Sage;
8. On an ad hoc basis, maintain suppliers master data in Sage;
9. Ensure approval of AP invoices according to corporate policy & process
10. Control accuracy of legal requirement on invoices received (VAT, addresses,
11. Investigate and resolve suppliers invoices discrepancies
12. Save electronically all invoices received.

13. Advanced IT skills in MS tools (Excel)
14. Strong accounting knowledge
15. Commercial & Business awareness
16. European VAT knowledge
17. Fluent in English (spoken and written), French a plus.
