POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure departments adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
2. Maintain and enhance departmental housekeeping standards.
3. Execution of production plan to meet efficiency targets.
4. Ensure production quality is maintained to required standards.
5. Participate in efficiency improvement programmes.
6. Abide by and ensure departments compliance with Companies policies and procedures.
7. Understand department members individual needs and requirements and maximise moral, motivation within the shift and across shifts to maintain departmental relationships.
8. Attend and present DSUM’s and ensure excellent communication across all shifts through DSR, email etc.
9. Daily cross departmental (tool room, quality, planning, engineering, maintenance, assembly, etc) liaison.
10. Be fully skilled in all areas and activities within the manufacturing areas on the Moulding department.
11. Undertake production activities within the Moulding department when resourcing requires.
12. Inspection and measurement as procedures dictate.
13. Identify skills gaps within department’s members.
14. Demonstrate a duty of care to all colleagues, visitors, contractors or anyone else on site.
15. Conduct and report on Process Audits.
16. Carry out any reasonable management requests.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE
1. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent injection moulding processing skills
2. Junior management experience
3. ERM system experience desirable
