Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Catering Manager to join our team at Glencorse Army Barracks, Milton Bridge, Penicuik, EH26 0NP.
The Catering Manager will oversee all aspects of catering operations, within the Officers, Sergeant and ASLS Buildings specifically supporting corporate meetings and private functions. This role involves managing a team of nine staff, ensuring events meet profitability goals, adhere to food safety regulations, and maintain high-quality standards. You will be responsible for daily operational oversight, staff management, budgeting, and delivering an outstanding client experience.

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

A day in the life of a Catering Manager:
- Leading and managing a team of catering staff, providing direction and support to meet Aramark’s high standards. Identifying staff training needs, implementing appropriate training and maintaining all staff records.
- Planning, organising, and executing catering services for corporate meetings and private functions.
- Ensuring all events are on-budget and profitable, monitoring cost controls and maintaining profit margins.
- Overseeing compliance with food safety regulations, ensure recipe cards are strictly followed, and enforce quality standards.
- Building and maintaining client relationships, ensuring their catering needs are met with high satisfaction.
- Coordinating logistics, including event setup, transportation, inventory management, and scheduling.
You will be set up for success if you have:
⦁ Ideally previous experience and knowledge of food production within defence/contract catering sector.⦁ Proven track record in catering production control and associated tasks.⦁ Leadership and delegation skills.⦁ Ability to communicate at all levels, verbal and written.⦁ Knowledge of integrated food safety management system.⦁ Knowledge of stock management and GP Margin achievement.⦁ Coaching and development skills.⦁ Flexible approach.⦁ BPSS and disclosure Scotland required.
