Our Gallagher Bristol office is on the lookout for a Senior Account Handler to join our vibrant team at the City Centre location. This role is part of our Retail Broking Division, known for creating tailored insurance and risk management solutions for large businesses and multinationals.
As a Senior Account Handler, you'll be at the forefront of delivering outstanding client service, ensuring high retention rates, and spotting growth opportunities.

How you'll make an impact
1. Strategic Account Oversight: Lead the management of the entire client account, ensuring strategic alignment with client objectives and delivering exceptional service.
2. Executive Engagement: Facilitate high-level visits and meetings with clients, insurers, and underwriters to foster strategic partnerships and drive business growth.
3. Risk Management Leadership: Provide expert guidance during survey and risk management calls, leveraging insights to develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
4. Data Governance: Oversee the accurate recording and timely entry of all customer details into the system, ensuring robust data integrity and supporting informed decision-making.
5. Renewal Strategy Development: Spearhead the renewal process by obtaining competitive terms for customers, thoroughly exploring all options to deliver optimal solutions. Ensure renewal closings are meticulously prepared, and coverage is secured by the renewal date.
6. Complex Query Resolution: Manage and resolve complex queries from insurers and customers regarding their policies. Confirm coverage with relevant insurers, oversee policy processing, and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding documentation.
7. Financial and Account Management: Address sophisticated account queries and credit control matters, proactively identifying and mitigating potential concerns.
8. Regulatory and Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to fundamental legal and regulatory policies, applying them effectively in relation to internal policies and the insurance contract.
About You
* Previous experience handling commercial lines insurance business gained working within a similar capacity would be essential for this role.
* Knowledge of handling mid-market to corporate clients is ideal.
* Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII.
* Previous experience in the insurance industry is crucial, as is having worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLAs.
* Risk aware in handling customer information, 100% customer centric, focussed on the best possible outcome for our customers at all times.
* Due diligence and process driven to deadlines, task focused, results oriented and takes initiative when assisting team members.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, confident when building and maintaining rapport, strong planning and analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Acturis would be advantageous.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
