Business Administration Apprentice within Finance
Hybrid working from our office in Newcastle Upon Tyne, One Strawberry Lane and from home
Full Time (37.5 hours per week) with flexible hours available
Fixed term 15 months (with progression into permanent opportunities available)
Hourly Pay between £10.00 to £12.21 (dependant on age)

Typical day as a Business Administration Apprentice
* Dealing with both incoming and outgoing post
* Dealing with queries either by email, in person or phone
* Posting of income received from customers and third parties to our housing system
* Applying rent account adjustments
* Being supported through your level 2 apprenticeship in Customer Service within an Admin role, you’ll have dedicated learning time to spend on your course and will have the opportunity to put the theory into practice in your day to day role

As well as having a fantastic attitude and being super keen to learn, you’ll
* Have a real desire to work in a team that supports our front line colleagues
* Enjoy working with numbers and data
* Understand the importance of brilliant verbal and written communication skills with a desire to learn these skills yourself
* Have basic IT skills, with the confidence to develop, particularly in Outlook, Teams and Excel
* Have the ability to work on your own initiative, ask questions and pro-actively learn your role
* Be keen to learn how to prioritise workloads and thrive under pressure
* Deal with sensitive information confidently and maintain confidentiality at all times
Our team
We’re a busy team of 24 people that not only support our customers but are there for each other too. We are dedicated to welcoming new team members by providing the right support and encouragement. Over the years, this has resulted in us recruiting a number of our apprentices to permanent positions within the team. Alongside doing your qualification with support from the training provider, there is plenty support and knowledge from our brilliant colleagues in the team to help and guide you.
Job details
* Our award-winning apprenticeship programme has been designed to get our customers and colleagues on the career ladder! (How awesome is that!) Don’t be put off by the word apprentice as you can be any age to apply
* Your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on!
* You’ll be employed for a 15-month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career. You’ll start at level 2 with possible progression onto a level 3!
* Many of our apprentices secure a permanent role with us so who knows where you’ll end up in the future!
* Flexible working hours (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
* This is a hybrid role, and you’ll spend 2-3 days in the office and the rest from home
