Please note this role will work approximately 14 x 12 hour shifts per month, including a mixture of early shifts, late shifts, and occasional night shifts.
Remuneration package of up to £18.32 per hour dependent on experience + a generous host of benefits.
Purpose of the Role:
* To work as part of a people-focused security team for an evolving physical security program.
* Assist in the daily running of the physical security program to protect people, assets, data, and the bank's reputation.
* To be an integral part of the team, providing a first-rate service to the bank’s customers. This includes, but is not limited to, dealing with customers who visit the bank, OOH customer calls, and events.
The Value You Will Add to Our Customers:
* Be the point of contact for all OOH customer calls ensuring we deliver an equivalent level of service to that of the banking operations team for which we are supporting.
* The role holder will provide a safe and secure environment for customers who visit the bank and secure assets within.
* Support the security supervisor to ensure a consistently high level of service is maintained.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
* Experience of working in a modern security control room operating electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire alarms, and intercoms.
* Previous experience of working in a high-end corporate security environment.
* Experience of conducting internal and external patrols.
* Strong PC skills including use of Microsoft packages.
* Display the highest standard of personal presentation.
* The ability to maintain written logs to support the management of 3rd party SLAs.
* The ability to write statements for external agencies.
* Ability to work in a close team, with an appreciation of the values and ethos of the bank.
* Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
* Good numeracy skills.
* The ability to work under pressure in challenging situations.
* Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
* Ability to identify areas for process improvement and change.
* Excellent customer service skills with high expectations from both internal and external customers.
* The ability to adapt to new systems and processes.
Role Responsibilities:
Physical Security
* Protect people, assets, data, and the bank's reputation.
* To maintain the security of all the bank's premises.
* Monitor the bank's security control room responding to alarms and actioning events accordingly.
* Issue and revoke access badges as required.
* Update access credentials as required.
* Support cashiers with safe keeping.
* Record and escalate all security incidents as they occur.
* Act as a fire warden in the event of an activation.
* Support the delivery of the bank's clear desk policy.
* Carry out patrols.
* Provide support at events.
* Update site instructions.
* Support reception team with signing in visitors.
* Manage car park.
* Highlight health and safety risks.
* Provide support and assistance to the partners.
OOH Customer Calls
* Handle and respond efficiently to all customer phone calls; identifying and assessing customer needs to ensure high levels of customer service.
* Assist with fraud prevention through the adequate verification of all customer instructions received via the ID&V Matrix.
* Ensure customer records are updated and maintained through the effective adoption of CRM.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:
Qualifications Desired:
* SIA Door Supervisor, CCTV operator, Security Guard.
* Valid first aid certificate.
* BTEC Level 3 security qualification.
Required:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the corporate security sector.
* Right to work in the UK and a checkable work history.
* No current criminal convictions.
