SEN Teaching Assistant –Primary SEN
An Ofsted ‘Good’ SEN School based in Leicester are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their team. TA’s experienced working across Early Years – Year 6 are encouraged to apply.
The school is committed to providing a safe, caring and engaging environment which ensures that all pupils are able to access high quality learning opportunities that cater for their individual needs and interests.
The school caters for various SEN including Autism, PMLD, MLD, Downs Syndrome, ADHD and challenging behaviour. The severity of additional needs vary across the school.
This is a bank position but can turn into a FULL TIME role.
Hours of work: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Your main duties will include:
Providing 1:1 and general classroom support.
Assisting children with daily activities.
Supporting the class teacher to plan and deliver activities.
Creating and organising displays.
Assessing pupil progress and ensuring a safe learning environment.
Work across both KS1 and KS2 phases providing additional support where needed.
Each class has 10 pupils with 1 Teacher, 2 LSAs and a fantastic leadership team to provide additional support.
The ideal candidates will have-
Experience working with various SEN and will have a DBS registered to the update services.
Primary and Secondary Trained TAs are encouraged to apply.
