Job Title: Methane Emissions Quantification (MEQ) Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our MEQ team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will work on developing client relationships, delivering aerial and source measurement services, and supporting innovation projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Project Engineer: Developments / Operations
* Developments:
o Owner and Focal Point for engineered innovation 'Development Projects'
o Builds Development Project plans and ensures timely progression
o Ensures project data is filed and recorded consistently and in an accessible manner
o Project stakeholder definition and communications
o Ensures all activities aligned with IKM Testing Ltd. Quality Management and Business Management Systems
o Internal and, where necessary, external presentation of projects
o Continuously and proactively engages and encourages IKM personnel to communicate ideas for innovation, and to take part in Development Projects
o Committed to Quality, Innovation and Operational Excellence
* Operations:
o Preparation of Project documentation and reports
o Assist with preparation of tenders including preparation of method statements, equipment lists and pricing schedules
o Act as project focal point for both the customer and internal stakeholders
o Co-ordinate and monitor job performance
o Responsible for overseeing daily site operations
o Develop and maintain customer relationships
o Proactively generate departmental or company-wide improvement ideas and log within the Energy Transition Dept Improvement Idea Tracker
o Define all operational requirements contained within the project contract and verify that all actions are performed in accordance with procedures and deadlines
o Attend client visits to provide technical support to Business Development
o Plan and monitor progress against deadlines and amendments of work packs / procedures / Management of Change
o Encourage and develop team relationships
o Ensure compliance with Quality and HSE Management System by ensuring that all operational requirements are performed / completed in accordance with agreed procedures
o Adhere to Company's policies and procedures
o Willing to complete offshore visits and travel where required
o General
o To carry out your duties and responsibilities in accordance with any and all Company Policies, protocols, procedures, risk assessments and systems (including emergency and incident routines) as well as specific site assignment instruction/requirements
o Travel to other IKM office
o Travel to onshore/offshore worksite, carrying out duties under direction
o Adhering to Company's policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
* Essential:
o Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
* Preferred:
o Master's degree in a relevant subject/discipline
1. Experience Required:
* Eessential:
o Demonstrated leadership in engineering projects
o Highly developed creative problem-solving skillset
o Demonstrated ability to achieve stated objectives with minimal direction and supervision alone or as part of a team
* Preferred:
o Industrial experience in an engineering/operational setting (energy sector)
o Understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles in engineering
o Project management: knowledge of project processes, organisation & structure
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
