We are working in partnership with a high-performing academy in Chelmsford, Essex, to recruit a Head of Business for a September start. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Business Studies teacher to take on a leadership role within a well-regarded school known for its strong academic record, outstanding facilities, and commitment to student success.
The Role:
As Head of Business, you will lead a thriving department, ensuring the delivery of an engaging and high-quality curriculum for students at KS4 and KS5. You will be responsible for shaping the department’s vision, supporting staff development, and fostering an environment where students can achieve their full potential in Business Studies and related subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Business Studies department, driving high standards of teaching and learning.
* Develop and implement an ambitious and engaging curriculum.
* Support and mentor teaching staff within the department.
* Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment.
* Contribute to the wider leadership team and school improvement initiatives.
* Inspire and engage students through innovative teaching methods.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Business Studies.
* Proven experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and KS5.
* Previous leadership experience or a desire to step into a leadership role.
* A passion for Business education and the ability to inspire both students and colleagues.
* Strong organisational skills and a commitment to raising standards.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
