An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team based at our main office in Barway, Ely Cambridgeshire.
Our Logistics Coordinator will be working as an integral part of our Logistics team. Co-ordinating and administering transport requirements and ensuring that transport is booked and managed both efficiently and cost-effectively. Ensuring always that product is delivered to customers on time at the lowest cost and that we record and report on transactions so all activity/spend is tracked and communicated to the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake all transport bookings where applicable.
2. Undertake transport finance across the department encompassing both UK and European work. Ensuring a critical path is enforced and always followed to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.
3. Report on transport, ensuring key KPI’s are captured and communicated across the wider business.
4. Develop relationships with hauliers to ensure service level remains strong all throughout the year, conduct haulier reviews and feedback on performance to strive for continuous improvement.
5. Engage with all areas of the business where necessary to develop ways of working.
Candidate requirements:
1. Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics experience advantageous but not essential
2. Good attention to detail
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Strong administrative background
5. Experience with Microsoft package including Excel.
6. JDE system knowledge will be an advantage but not essential.
7. Good team player and a flexible approach to work
8. Weekend cover required on a rota basis.
