Job Description: North West Trucks is a leading supplier of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and automotive parts in the North West region. We are currently seeking a motivated Parts Sales Representative (BDM) to join our Parts Sales Representative within our field sales team – with a base location at our Huyton depot, going out on the field to acquire and maintain sales face to face from existing and potential customers. Job Summary: As an HGV Parts Sales Representative at North West Trucks - your primary responsibility will be to drive the sales of HGV and automotive parts to our valued customers and potential customers out on the field. You will play a vital role in ensuring that existing customers have access to the parts they need to keep their vehicles running smoothly and potential customers are aware of our services, benefits and latest offerings tailored to support their needs. Your excellent sales skills, and customer-focused approach will contribute to the success and growth of our business. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales and Customer Relationship Management: Proactively identify, approach and visit both potential customers, as well as maintain and grow relationships with existing clients and key accounts. Assist customers in selecting the right parts for their specific needs, providing expert advice and guidance. Monitor the status of orders and communicate updates to customers. Coordinate with the tele sales parts team when required to provide accurate details such as order quotations, sales status and delivery. Prepare and present product quotations and negotiate terms to secure sales. Communicate latest product offers and deals to customers and potential customers Escalate issues or improvement opportunities to the Parts Sales Manager and via the internal reporting system 2. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest HGV and automotive parts, their features, and benefits. Be well-versed in the technical aspects of the products to effectively address customer inquiries. 3. Sales Targets: Achieve /exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets to contribute to the overall business goals. Actively contributing to sales meetings. 4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records on the internal database of customer interactions, visits, outcomes/opportunities sales, and inventory levels. Provide regular sales reports to management. 5. Market Awareness: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions Attending training Requirements: Face-to-face sales experience is essential. Previous experience in HGV or automotive parts field sales is highly desirable, but not a deal breaker. (If you have a strong sales background, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn, we can provide you with the tools for success) Strong sales skills with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a team player. Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented. Technical knowledge of HGV and automotive parts is highly advantageous.
