As Travelex continues to enhance its digital customer offering, a significant online platform and frontend rebuild initiative requires the expertise of a UX Researcher to support the Product team. Over a 6-month period, the UX Researcher will play a critical role uncovering user insights that will improve the usability of our products, while aligning with broader business objectives. This will involve conducting comprehensive user research to guide the discovery, definition, and design phases of the project - as well as post-deployment evaluations.,
* Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and Developers to define research objectives, aligning research efforts with business goals.
* Conduct a variety of user research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field studies, to gather insights into user behaviours, needs, and pain points.
* Synthesise research findings into actionable insights and present them to stakeholders to inform design and product decisions.
* Create personas, user journeys, and experience maps based on research data to inform design decisions and strategies.
* Design and facilitate usability testing sessions, ensuring that feedback loops are integrated into product development cycles.
* Analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative data, identifying patterns and themes that can guide both short-term and long-term design strategies.
* Work closely with the Design and wider Product team to translate research findings into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, ensuring that evaluated insights are reflected in the product design.
Strong experience with a range of user research methods (e.g., interviews, usability tests, surveys, ethnographic studies).
* Expertise in synthesising large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights.
* Familiarity with UX role in Agile methodologies and how research integrates with iterative product development.
* Proficiency in research tools like, User Testing, User Interviews and/or similar platforms.
* Ability to create personas, user journeys, and experience maps that inform design decisions.
* Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to present research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Problem-solving mindset with a user-centered focus and a knack for identifying pain points and opportunities.
* The ability to confidently present and actively engage, with stakeholders and participants alike.
Preferred:
* A qualification in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, or equivalent professional experience.
* Experience contracting in a global or corporate setting, especially within fast-paced, digital product environments.
* Familiarity with remote research tools and conducting research for digital platforms (web and mobile).
* Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
* Prior experience working on projects involving a rebuild or redesign of a large-scale online platform., Experience working with collaboration tools such as Figjam, Jira, and Confluence.
* Strong knowledge of usability testing platforms, survey tools, and data analytics.
* Familiarity with user research tools such as Contentsquare, Hotjar, Google Analytics, User Testing or other user insight tool.
