An exciting chance has arisen for a New Business Development Manager to join our External Sales team based out of Amberley Labels site in Boston. Travelling will be required around the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual with experience in the Packaging, Label Industry who is looking to join a progressive company.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
1. Drive a solid focused plan around new business development for the Home & Personal Care, Beers Wines & Spirits, OTC & Lubricant markets, ensuring that the focus is on new business growth in line with our technical capabilities, capacity, and the Amberley Sales Strategy.
2. Champion and own a Strategic Growth plan that includes:
1. Identifying the customers that offer the Amberley division the best opportunities for future profitable growth.
2. Being laser focused on NBD to achieve the targeted growth expectations.
3. Selling on value, technical, sustainable, and promoting all aspects of the Coveris Group.
4. Following the strategy for Amberley new business development in close collaboration with all stakeholders and being responsible for communicating this strategy.
5. Ensuring accurate sales forecasting and account planning.
6. Having strong negotiation skills & strategy.
7. Building strong relationships with key customers.
8. Being an ambassador for the Amberley brand and promoting this via social media.
9. Bringing the External market view into the business, focusing on future trends that offer both opportunities and threats to the business.
10. Being aware of competitor activity and ensuring that any competitor activity of interest is reviewed and evaluated to understand if it poses a real threat to Amberley and what would be our solution/alternative offer/new offer.
11. Defining and articulating any capability gaps that the business has in order to be successful in its chosen categories around market knowledge, product capability, technical know-how, operational capability, and selling skills.
12. Coordinating with other teams to ensure smooth delivery of products & services.
13. Working with the organisation to ensure we have the right level of resources in both quantity, quality, and sales material to drive new business growth.
14. Working with all Coveris / Amberley Sales Leaders to ensure the Amberley label offer is known across the different divisions.
Key Requirements:
1. 5 years + experience in a new business development role.
2. Capability of accepting and achieving new business targets.
3. Proven track record of winning new business YOY.
4. 5 years + experience of selling label products.
5. Ideally worked for other packaging businesses to bring outside experience to the role.
6. Demonstrated skills around strategies for new business development utilising external tools; LinkedIn, cold calling, networking.
7. Demonstrable relationship management skills.
