Under the inspiring leadership of our Senior Events Manager, Lyndsey Monaghan, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality. The successful candidate can expect to work mainly office hours Monday to Friday (35 hours excluding breaks). The rate of pay for this full-time position is £22,858.00 per annum. About The Role
To assist with the smooth running of the Events department for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum profit contribution to the hotel.
1. Work closely with the Group reservation team ensuring bookings are accurate.
2. Update database with clients' correct personal details and ensure all billing information is accurate and correct.
3. Communicate travel details to other team members, providing clear and timely information.
4. Assist visitor groups with their special requests such as dietary restrictions, mobility needs, etc.
5. Liaise closely with tour guides and travel agents regarding planning and scheduling of visitor groups.
6. Prepare and issue invoices for group bookings.
7. Monitor and manage reviews across multiple online platforms such as Tripadvisor and Google Reviews.
8. Respond to all reviews in a timely and professional manner, ensuring you liaise with the relevant departmental teams.
9. Acknowledge positive reviews and resolve issues arising from negative reviews in a constructive and solution-oriented approach.
10. Identify trends and recurring themes in customer feedback to provide insights to the management team for service improvements.
11. Assist the events team with administrative tasks, such as preparing quotes and generating leads when needed.
About You
You will be detail-oriented, have a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Criteria
1. Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
2. Must have a professional appearance.
3. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
4. Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with grades A-C in English, Maths & IT.
5. Must have excellent organisation and computer skills.
Desired Criteria
1. Third level qualification in Hospitality Management.
2. Experience of using Opera Reservations.
3. Reservations/Front Office experience gained within the Hospitality Industry.
