Job Overview
This Healthcare Coordinator role plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare services within our Primary Care Network (PCN). This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and providing administrative support to healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, local community services and office procedures, enabling them to effectively communicate with both patients and staff.
Duties
* Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services.
* Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
* Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks, including referrals, data entry, and managing correspondence.
* Utilize medical terminology to facilitate communication between patients and medical staff.
* Collaborate with team members to streamline office operations and improve service delivery.
Experience
* Previous experience in using EMIS clinical system and medical administrative support is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is essential for effective communication.
* Experience working in a General practice (GP) setting is advantageous.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining accurate records.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
