Energy Consultant

This is a great opportunity to join an independent environmental specialist consultancy that ensures sustainable construction and energy efficiency for their projects. They are looking for an experienced Energy Consultant to lead their sustainability department.
Role responsibilities include:
1. Lead a team of sustainability and energy consultants on numerous projects within the construction industry.
2. Produce SAP assessments and calculations to ensure clients' projects comply with Part L.
3. Undertake thermal bridging and U-value heat loss calculations.
4. Mentor and help junior staff members professionally develop.
5. Carry out energy assessments for existing dwellings and provide sustainable solutions to clients on their construction projects to minimize their environmental impact.
The ideal Energy Consultant will have:
1. An OCDEA Qualification through a credible accreditation scheme.
2. Strong understanding of UK Building regulations such as Part L and Part O.
3. A degree in engineering, architecture, or environmental science.
4. Experience in a relevant role within the construction industry, with demonstrable managerial experience.
5. Desirable experience in other environmental services such as air testing or BREEAM.
6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
