Working in partnership and strategically with the Artistic Director, the Executive Producer will lead operations and the financial strategy of the organisation. As a key senior manager in a small, dynamic arts organisation with a national and local remit, the post-holder will lead the company organisationally playing a pivotal role in the strategic planning and development of the Company. The Executive Producer will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational functions including finance, HR, marketing, national touring, and building management.

Skills and Experience
1. The ability to create a robust and realistic financial strategy for Interplay Theatre, with a proven track record in your field.
2. An experienced producer and tour booker of small – mid scale theatre.
3. The ability to create and manage project and production budgets, cash flow forecasts and management accounts.
4. A high level of skill in establishing collaborative working relationships with a wide range of partners and funders.
5. The skill to balance artistic vision and community need with the need for financial probity.
6. Entrepreneurial, with the ability to seek out or respond to opportunities that will enhance and further the aims of Interplay.
7. Excellent, confident communication skills with the ability to articulate the company’s artistic vision to inspire a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
Knowledge
1. A clear understanding of the role of an Executive leader and the importance of setting a clear strategic direction and meeting business targets alongside excellent artistic delivery.
2. The networks and contacts to attract a diverse range of partners and funders to work with Interplay.
3. An understanding of current trends in inclusive theatre practice and working with communities as co-creators and participants, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
4. An understanding of the investment priorities and agenda of major national funders.
5. An understanding and appreciation of good governance and working effectively with a Chair and a Board of Trustees.
