Overview: We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst Apprentice. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Your responsibility will be to collect, organise and study data to provide business insight. You will be involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data, and conducting a range of analytical studies on that data. As a member of our team, you will be an active partner that contributes to the success of our day-to-day management of the products, performance, and online merchandising. A perfect candidate for our team will need to be detail-oriented, with marketing skills, extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced knowledge of Ecommerce marketplaces. Responsibilities: Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality Document and report the results of data analysis activities making recommendations to improve business Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems Work with management to prioritize business and information needs Desirable skills: Strong math and analytical skills A methodical, step-by-step approach to analysing and gaining insight Business skills like effective communication, teamwork and task/time management Programming languages, such as SQL, Oracle and Python Excellent communication skills Strong math and analytical skills A problem-solving and critical thinking mindset Attention to detail Adaptability and curiosity Entry requirements: Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc) OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role) Plus: 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above Experience with using Excel (in particular pivot tables and XLookup) and Microsoft products (or similar) You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
