Our team We’re seeking a Head of Enterprise Architecture to lead our ongoing growth journey. This role requires an experienced leader in Enterprise Architecture to define and drive our target architecture, guiding the entire organisation towards achieving it and delivering valuable outcomes for both customers and colleagues. What you’ll be doing • This is a critical leadership role with influence across the Technology functions and the wider bank. • Sitting within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) team, you’ll be responsible for successfully leading the teams and activities which define and maintain the bank's enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap. • Chair key governance forums which provide the necessary control to ensure reference architectures and architecture contracts, as well as more granular changes, are agreed and executed in line with the target architecture. • Ensuring the bank is mature in its understanding of its Enterprise Architecture and has a clear Target Architecture and roadmap, which are kept evergreen. • Ensuring that the quality of these assets and our progress is measurable and regularly reported through the CTO scorecard. • Responsible for ensuring that the target architecture and roadmaps for the business align to customer needs and will lead to operable, secure and easy to use services which drive customer value. We need you to have • A deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman Framework) • Demonstrable experience of working in a regulated environment delivering Architectural governance, architectural modelling and documentation • In-depth knowledge of architecture modelling and documentation techniques, including the use of relevant tools and technologies. • Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity. • Familiarity with industry trends and their potential impact on the bank's architecture and business. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the financial services industry. • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture and wider technology roles, including impactful leadership roles. • Proven track record in developing and implementing enterprise architecture strategies that have delivered tangible business benefits at a business-wide level in a scaled enterprise.
