Job summary The Vales are seeking to recruit a dynamic Deputy ward manager to join their team in their 15 bedded female high dependency rehabilitation inpatient unit at Discovery House. Applicants must possess attitudes and values that reflect the excellent standards we are expecting within the Vales team. The Vales provides treatment and interventions for women with severe and enduring mental ill-health in a locked environment to support their ongoing recovery and social integration. The whole service is focused on working towards independence and recovery to enable service users to regain health and mental wellness, before moving on to live as independently as possible in an open environment or their local communities. This is a substantive post on the Vales, however, successful candidate will be required at times to support and cover other areas within inpatients Main duties of the job To be clinical leader of the nursing team providing care for people with severe and enduring mental illness, complex trauma mental health disorders. To provide clinical services that work within the policies, protocols and clinical procedures of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust. To work as part of a team providing a user-focused, accessible and responsive nursing service that is safe, supportive and competent for people who experience severe and eduring and complex trauma mental health problems. To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for those who are experiencing mental health needs, within agreed limitations. Patterns of working will be by arrangement and may include evenings, weekends, bank holidays.
